SPA, Alliance Francaise & the Pilkhan is the coming together of many memorable events. SPA remains an institution par-excellence representing the diverse ethos of our country and sub-continent. The building was designed around two existing trees i.e a Mango tree in the cafe court and a Pilkhan tree in the Auditorium courtyard.
Thus the installation is a celebration in the memory of the Pilkhan Tree. The installation is at the location of the PILKHAN thereby recreating the abstract notion of transparency, opacity & spatial opportunities.Materials like bamboo, cloth & lighting create a temporal and ephemeral event space.
